A friend fed back a strange question – the icon in the task bar of Win11 disappeared mysteriously. You can still call out the corresponding software by clicking the mouse, but you can’t see the icon. How to solve this problem?
In fact, some users have mentioned similar problems in Microsoft’s feedback center before, and Microsoft has also provided solutions. Basically, this failure is caused by IRIS service, which is a mysterious service, and there is almost no official introduction about it. It is analyzed that it is related to Microsoft ads, Windows Focus and Teams chat carried in the Windows system. If you can’t use these things, you can delete IRIS services.
Open CMD in administrator mode, then enter the following command and run it. Note that the registry value of IRIS service will be deleted after entering the command, and the system will restart automatically. The specific commands are as follows:
reg delete HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\IrisService /f && shutdown -r -t 0
Press the Enter key to run, and the system will restart automatically. If there is no automatic restart, manual restart is sufficient. After that, the problem should be solved.
